Ocean Wetsuits maintains friendly customer service and a unique array of specialty products engineered from experience. When only 19 years old, Martin Owen (manager of Ocean Wetsuits) pursued his interest in diving, fishing and spearfishing and formed a backyard dive school named Ocean Divers. This evolved into Ocean Divers and soon grew with heavy involvement from Abalone Wetsuits, eventually moving to Moorabbin. From here Martin truly employed his ocean experience as a professional scuba diver. His years of fishing and spearfishing, and sailing – manifested during the slow winter months. He began to experiment with tailored wetsuit designs and create individual patterns. Realising his true interest and a growing company, Martin sold Ocean Divers and formed Ocean Wetsuits. Since then Ocean Wetsuits has expanded retaining a tight-knit body of staff. The addition of Colin Ellicott to the role of Production Manager has meant the company has grown from strength to strength. This year outgrowing the Dandenong factory Ocean Wetsuits has moved their manufacturing base to a new commercial estate in Hallam.
